Dror for Puma
Client: Tumi (Work done at Dror.) 2005
More than a decade and a half before the Nike FlyEase Easy On/Off Shoe, this concept shoe was designed for Puma. Developed around the way people naturally removed their shoes by pushing down on the back of their shoe with the opposite foot, this shoe hinges open when the back is pressed down. The shoe remains in the open position until the wearer slips their foot in and presses down, flipping the shoe back to the closed position on their foot. The PUMA swoosh is made of rubber and acts as the closing agent. Evan Clabots worked together with Studio Principal Dror Benshetrit to design and develop the Dror for Puma concept shoe.
