Client: Burrow 2019-21
Evan Clabots redeveloped the direction of all Burrow environmental images and videos. He worked with both the internal creative team and external art directors to establish the look and feel of all shoots and oversaw the execution on set. The result is a friendly and approachable mix of mid-mod and Scandinavian, which illustrates how the building blocks of Burrow can be combined to achieve a wide range of styles.

To make sure everyone is on the same page, Clabots makes quick photoshop mock-ups to flush out the concept and get buy-in and approval from all parties involved. This mock-up was translated very closely to create the final image which became the best performing lifestyle shot to date.

During the pandemic, all shoots had to run on a skeleton crew due to safety restrictions. Clabots played many roles in the crew making sure everything was perfect for the debut shoot of the Range Sofa and the most ambitious location shoot to date.

Dynamic Mock-ups
Clabots is often very hands-on and will make mock-ups of motion graphics to kick start the process with the creative team. The GIF shown here was the direction provided for the video above.
For the company’s first video commercial for Hulu, Evan worked with both the internal creative team and external art directors to establish the look and feel of the spot and oversaw the execution on set.
