Bias Shelving
Client: Hem 2014
The Bias shelves comprised of a set of four pieces that can be arranged in endless configurations of regular and irregular patterns. The design is reminiscent of industrial crates, but the modern slant creates new visual interest as you mixed and matched them. The shelves are made of ash, with three pieces finished naturally and on painted white. These shelves were designed to nest into one another for easy shipping, and the four-way keyhole hangers enabled the shelf to hang in any orientation. Evan Clabots directed the design of the Bias Shelving for Hem, working with project designer Louis Filosa and the in-house product development team to bring it to life.
